  1. Request Procedure To request access to information, submit a request in writing using Form C, available on the SAHRC website. All requests must be directed to our Information Officer, who will respond within the prescribed 30-day period.
  1. Fees A fee may be payable for access to certain records, as determined by the PAIA fee schedule. We will inform the requester of the applicable fee before processing the request.
  1. Grounds for Refusal Access to certain records may be refused on grounds allowed by PAIA, such as:
  • Personal information of third parties
  • Confidential company information
  • Information protected by legal privilege
  1. Remedies If your request for access is denied, you may apply to a court for relief or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
